Before Buying a Home in Bend Do This

Although home prices in Bend Oregon can be described as “competitive” right now you can give yourself the advantage over other home buyers by following these 7 tips:

Tip 1 – Get your finances in order by paying down old debts like student loans and credit cards because this will also lower your debt-to-income ratio.

Tip 2 – Purchase your credit reports to verify the accuracy and validity of each item or debt on your credit report.

Tip 3 – Save at least 20 percent for a down payment on a home because this will help you to get a lower monthly mortgage payment and avoid paying Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI).

Tip 4 – Research the type of home you want to purchase so that when you are finally ready to buy you can give us the specifics for the exact home you are searching for.

Tip 5 – Get creative when submitting an offer to a homeowner and don’t be afraid to give them a letter or picture of your family.
