Home Buyers Bend Oregon

By: Jason Boone

Thanks to recent data from the U.S. Census we know that Bend’s population has been growing fast over the last two years and from July 2013 through July 2014 Bend saw a growth of close to 5,000 residents.

Now that Bend ranks number 7 in the nation for the fastest population growth we have to ask the question: how is this going to affect our local Real Estate Market?

For Buyers

If you’re buying a Bend Oregon home you can expect more from other buyers in the area since rising rents has driven many people to turn their attention to buying homes versus renting.

When you’re competing against multiple bidders for the same home it’s best to make sure you do the following:

  • Get pre-approved for financing.
  • Know exactly what you are willing to pay for a home.

For Sellers

Sellers can should be prepared for a lot of interest in their homes this year since we have more people choosing to move to Bend and with fewer homes being built this means that homeowners can possibly expect multiple offers when they do list their Bend Oregon homes for sale.

Homeowners can have the advantage when they do decide to sell their homes by doing the following:

  • Research the local Real Estate market to find out what their home is really worth.
  • Fix any damage to the home that might need to be repaired.

Don’t get overwhelmed with buying or selling Bend Oregon Real Estate, it’s going to be another great year to buy or sell a home in Bend.
