One of the most important parts of buying a home is scheduling a home inspection.
In today’s post I will break down how to find the right Bend Oregon Home inspector and what to expect from the inspection process.
Where To Find A Home Inspector
The first step to the home inspection process is choosing the right home inspector.
You should search for a home inspector online and specifically choose someone who has verifiable experience and references listed on their website.
What The Home Inspector Will Expect From You
Upon your first call to the home inspector you will be expected to provide that individual with information about the home you want to purchase including: age of home, foundation type, square footage, price and directions to the home.
When To Schedule The Home Inspection
Before scheduling your home inspection you should review your schedule and plan on having your home inspection on a day and time you will be available to attend.
Your home inspection may last up to 3 hours so you should be prepared to spend a portion of your day at the home just so you can be there during the entire home inspection.
It’s also important to know that if the home has extra out buildings or equipment on the property, like HVAC units, your home inspector may need to schedule a second appointment just to thoroughly examine that equipment.
