If you plan on selling your Bend Oregon home in 2015 the first step in getting a home ready for sale is to de-clutter.
In this post I will provide you with 10 tips you can use to de-clutter your home so it will be visually appealing for Bend Oregon Home Buyers.
Tip 1 – Work Slowly
Instead of starting the de-cluttering process in your living room or another room which you may be using regularly, start with a room that’s not used as often like a basement, attic space or spare bedroom.
Tip 2 – Create Sorting Piles
Although you might be tempted to throw away most items you’re not currently using it’s best to create sorting piles so you will know which items to keep, donate or give away to family members instead of throwing away the things you don’t need.
Tip 3 – Clean Those Closets
Take the time to go through your closets and clean out those outfits you haven’t worn in the last six months to one year.
Tip 4 – Get Rid Of Old Furniture
How many pieces of furniture in your home do you really use?
Spend some time evaluating your furniture and make the decision to donate or sell those pieces that you haven’t used in a long time.
Tip 5 – Transfer Old Photos and Documents to Digital Files
If you have a lot of old photos and documents in your home it’s best to scan those items and save them to flash drives.
Tip 6 – Let Go Of Old Sentimental Items
Sometimes it’s hard to let go of your items you’ve been hanging onto from the past but for items like your children’s baby shoes or clothes, awards, trophy’s and other items you may have not looked at in years it’s best to ask yourself why you’re keeping those items then let them go.
