Another great reason to live in Bend is the wide variety of events we have every year including U.S. Bank’s annual Pole Pedal Paddle which is coming up on May 16th 2015.
This event brings the very best athletes from Bend and across the United States to compete in one or all phases of Pole Pedal Paddle which include: alpine skiing, cycling, running, canoeing and sprinting.
If you plan on visiting Bend in May, Pole Pedal Paddle is a great way to get to know the area and be a part of one of Bend’s very best traditions.
Lack of Snow Plan
There’s no denying that we’ve received less snow this year than we did last year.
The Pole Pedal Paddle team is aware of this and has a contingency plan in place which involves the possibility of moving the events Alpine Leg to Sunrise Base Area if needed.
As for the Nordic Leg, there is also the possibility that it will be replaced with a mountain bike leg if there’s not enough snow come event time.
When to Register
Pole Pedal Paddle registration always comes quickly so if you plan on registering for this event you should register online no later than May 11th.
Cost varies from $80 to $100 for individuals to $180 to $200 for families and teams.
